Prerequisites for
PADI Assistant Instructor Course
- Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or hold an equivalent leadership certification with another training organisation
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a medical clearance, signed by a physician, not older than 1 year
- Show proof of 60 dives and have been a certified diver for at least 6 months
- Submit verification of CPR and First Aid training within the past 2 years

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Course
- Be certified as a PADI Assistant Instructor or be an instructor of another, recognized training organisation for at least six months
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a medical clearance, signed by a physician, not older than 1 year
- Show proof of 60 dives and have been a certified diver for at least 6 months
- Submit verification of CPR and First Aid training within the past 2 years
